Suisse : les transports de Bâle-Ville commandent 60 trams à Bombardier

Le 31 janvier, Bombardier a annoncé avoir reçu des BVB (transports de Bâle-Ville) la plus importante commande passée par ces derniers : 60 tramways Flexity, options comprises, pour environ 222 millions de francs suisses (184 millions d’euros). Les premiers entreront en service pour l’inauguration du prolongement de la ligne 8 du tramway jusqu’à Weil am Rhein, en 2013. A partir de 2014, le contrat prévoit la livraison de deux nouveaux trams par mois, sous réserve de la confirmation par l’Assemblée législative du canton de Bâle-Ville. Ces véhicules de 2,3 m de large seront disponibles en deux longueurs : 31,8 m de long (cinq modules) pour 183 voyageurs et 43,2 m de long (sept modules) pour 254 voyageurs. A terme, 43 Flexity longs et 17 courts remplaceront progressivement 101 tramways verts (couleur de Bâle-Ville, par opposition aux tramways jaunes de Bâle-Campagne).
