Faire du temps d’attente un temps de shopping. C’était le but de la société britannique Tesco, à travers sa filiale sud-coréenne Home Plus, quand elle a proposé, il y a quelques semaines, aux usagers du métro de faire leurs courses depuis les quais. Le temps d’une campagne de communication, un supermarché virtuel a été rendu accessible à certaines stations. Des photos de produits étaient affichées sur les murs avec un résultat visuel semblable à des rayons de magasins classiques. Pour acheter, il suffisait de scanner les QR Code, ces codes-barres nouvelle génération déjà présents en France, à l’aide d’un smartphone. Le temps de payer en ligne puis de sauter dans sa rame et le client était livré à son arrivée à son domicile. La campagne a obtenu le grand prix Médias la semaine dernière, aux Lions de Cannes, les oscars de la publicité ; la vidéo de présentation a ensuite fait le buzz sur Internet. La firme y explique que ce système lui a permis de devenir numéro un du commerce en ligne. Si cette innovation est possible en Corée du Sud, c’est aussi que le taux d’équipement des habitants en smartphones y est très important. En France, la technologie du paiement sans contact, à l’aide de smartphones bien entendu, n’en est qu’à ses balbutiements. Mais cette campagne préfigurait peut-être les magasins du futur.
