Etienne Lhomet, director of the company Des Villes et Des Hommes (DVDH) Etienne Lhomet is a French engineer highly experienced in the development and management of major public transport networks project. He has acquired a twenty-five years’ experience in transport planning and in public transport projects management in Europe (Bordeaux, Toulouse, Nice, Lyon, Lisbon, Liege) and abroad (South America, West Africa, China, India, Bangladesh). He particularly has an excellent in-depth and practical experience in the design of major projects and restructuring related, whether LRT or BRT networks. For instance, Etienne Lhomet led for six years the design and construction of the tramway network for the Urban Community of Bordeaux. He also has a great knowledge of the institutional and financial models of urban transport systems. In this regard, he animated several workshops and conferences in emerging cities such as Kochi, Bandung, or Dhaka. Recently, he founded the consulting firm DVDH – Des Villes et Des Hommes (i.e. “Cities and People”), whose mission is to provide expertise in the field of sustainable mobility.
